About Weaver Lumber

Kent Weaver purchased Weaver Lumber (known then as Hughes Plywood) from the Hughes family in the early 1960’s.  After running the business for over a decade, Kent passed the business on to his three sons (Kit, Rick, and Doug).  The three sons operated Hughes Plywood while also starting Hughes Redwood from the mid 1970’s up to 2004.  It wasn’t until 2004 that Rick’s son Brent Weaver purchased the lumberyard on Westside Road and Bransetter Lane (in Redding) from Rick and Doug.
